This is a replica of William Wetmore Story's Angel of Grief. He was a celebrated American Sculptor and in 1885 he moved to Rome, Italy. He was born in Salem, Mass. in 1819 and died at the home of his daughter in Rome in 1895. The original Angel of Grief monument stands in a Protestant cemetary in Rome, marking the grave of the artist and his wife.

This will make a beautiful cemetary monument.
